During his time at the NDCS he devoted much of his time to working with individuals on how to use the time they had to better themselves. In that pursuit, he also founded the "7 Habits On The Inside" - a course based on the highly successful "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen R. Covey.I had the opportunity to interact one on one with Newell during my time inside, and I can attest to the fact that he's one of the good ones. He truly has the best interests of the men he encountered in mind. His dedication was evident - to the degree that it even cost him his job within the NDCS!
