EP 31 Colombians abroad: London calling

Para muchos colombianos que tienen la oportunidad de vivir en un país más desarrollado, casi siempre se van con un pasaje únicamente de ida, regresando sólo para visitar a familia y amigos. Sin embargo, después de tres años viviendo en Londres los esposos Oscar Aguilar y Daniela Mariño regresaron a Bogotá para continuar con su vida profesional y empezar una familia (así el pequeño Matías haya sido concebido en la capital inglesa!).Como oiremos, Colombia también ofrece la oportunidad de una mejor dieta, después de acostumbrarse a la cultura de los famosos “Pubs” y la típica comida inglesa. Regresar al país fue siempre una de las condiciones fundamentales de la beca de doctorado de Oscar, y aunque él está contento de haber regresado, Daniela no descarta la oportunidad de vivir en el exterior por otro periodo de tiempo. Sólo debe convencer a Oscar acerca de los beneficios de hacerlo! *********For many Colombians who get the opportunity to live in a more "developed" country, it's often a one-way ticket, save for the odd trip back home to visit family and friends. However, after three years living in London, husband and wife Oscar Aguilar and Daniela Mariño returned to Bogotá to start their professional careers, as well as a family (even if young Matías was conceived in the English capital!). Colombia, as we'll hear, also offered the prospect of a better diet after getting too used to the London pub culture and its rich food! While returning home was part of the terms of Oscar's PhD scholarship and he is quite happy to be back, Daniela hasn't ruled out another period living abroad. She just has to convince Oscar of the benefits in doing so!
