Ep. 31: Sage Agastya's Journey

Amidst their forest exile, Yudhishthira is advised by Sage Lomasa to reduce his entourage for ease of travel. Accepting the counsel, Yudhishthira sets out with a smaller group on pilgrimage, learning valuable lessons along the way. Among the tales shared is the story of Sage Agastya, who, prompted by ancestral spirits, marries Lopamudra. Despite challenges, Lopamudra embraces a simple life with Agastya. Later, she expresses her desire for wealth, leading Agastya to seek assistance from various kings. Rejecting ill-gotten gains, Agastya turns to the asura Ilvala, whose deceptive plan is foiled by the sage's wisdom. Grateful, Ilvala gifts Agastya the wealth he seeks. The story concludes with Agastya's wise decision regarding the Vindhya Mountain's growth, demonstrating his power and influence.
