Ep. 32 - Apple Event Leaks, AR for Dogs, Gamestop Partners with Microsoft - 10/9/20

This week we drank and reviewed a brand new IPA from Farmhouse Brewing, and a Pecan Ale from Abita Brewing. We then shared the news of the official UFC bout between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, and talked about the news of Jon Jones admitting to hiding under the octagon to dodge a Nevada State Athletic Commission drug test earlier in his career! Moving into our “Talkin’ Tech” segment, we covered the Apple Event leaks that have recently come out, with rumors of 4 new iPhones, a smaller HomePod, a magnetic wireless charger, and AirTags. We also talked about a new AR application for dogs in the military and speculated on how this technology may eventually make its way to consumers. To round out our show, we discussed Microsoft’s partnership with Gamestop who will now use their Surface devices and software in stores and discussed if that upgraded experience could draw customers in the stores. Lastly, we talked about Steam’s free demos of indie games, and the Beard described three demos that he is playing himself!
