Ep 32: Interview with Francesca Trotman from Love the Oceans: Ecofiction, storytelling and conservation
from Ecofictology · host Lovis Geier
Hey ecofictologists and welcome to episode 32 of the Ecofictology podcast! This week I am very pleased to introduce you to Francesca Trotman from Love the Oceans, a marine conservation organisation operating out of Mozambique. If you’ve been around my youtube channel at all you’ve probably heard the name several times because this was the organisation that I donated a portion of my patreon earnings to when I still had a patreon. By the time i stopped patreon, we had donated over £300 to Love the Oceans which I am very proud of. Chess is a friend of mine, we spent some time together in Mozambique and I have watched her in awe as she just went out and did the thing that so many people probably say they want to do, go and start an organisation to do some good and she just went and did it. So impressive! I enjoyed talking to her about storytelling in conservation and where she thinks ecofiction can bridge some gaps. This is an archived episode from my youtube channel so if you prefer the visual medium, you can find the link in the shownotes.
