Peter Schofield Bio: Mr. Schofield is a general practitioner and focuses on civil litigation, constitutional law, estate planning, business law, traffic law, and criminal law. Education Mr. Schofield completed his undergraduate studies at Thomas Aquinas College. The rigorous Great Books Program offered by Thomas Aquinas College provided Mr. Schofield with strong analytical skills, while also furthering his faith formation. Mr. Schofield earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) at Ave Maria School of Law, where he served as Deputy Grand Knight of the Knight of Columbus for the school chapter. Mr. Schofield was a participant in the 38th National Robert F. Wagner Labor and Employment Law Moot Court Competition hosted by New York School of Law and was credited as an editor in The Rule of Law at the Crossroads: Consequences of Targeted Killing of American Citizens, Utah Law Review 2011. Legal Career Upon graduating from Ave Maria School of Law, Mr. Schofield moved to Boston where he worked for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue Litigation Bureau and in two private litigation firms – Williams & Associates and Barclay Damon. In 2017, Mr. Schofield moved back to his wife’s hometown of Front Royal, Virginia. He worked in the Shenandoah Valley at McCarthy & Akers where he honed his skills in transactional law, particularly in estate planning and business law. Subsequently, Mr. Schofield had the opportunity to clerk for the Constitutional and Specialized Tort Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ). He clerked for the DOJ for four years and established proficiency in Constitutional Law and federal filings. Mr. Schofield has a range of expertise given his diverse experience. He is able to contribute to the many Constitutional and Religious Liberty cases handled at Lloyd Law Group and is also able to serve the local community generally in the areas of estate planning, business law, traffic law, and criminal law.
