Ep 33: interview with Sally Snow from Lamave: Ecofiction, storytelling and conservation

from Ecofictology · host Lovis Geier

Hey ecofictologists and welcome to episode 33 of the Ecofictology podcast! Today I am delighted to introduce you to a very good friend of mine, Sally Snow, one of the executive directors of the Large Marine Vertebrates Research Institute Philippines, affectionately shortened to Lamave. She is a zoologist and filmmaker with a passion for conservation filmmaking and telling stories from local perspectives that often go unheard. I worked with Sally for a year in the Philippines as I ran one of the whaleshark research sites with my partner and it was a glorious experience, I told it very close to my heart so it was great to touch base with Sally again. I had such a wonderful time talking with Sally and she had such wonderful insights into storytelling which she has also made some forays into.   This is an archived episode from my youtube channel so if you prefer the visual medium, you can find the link in the shownotes.
