Today I'm joined by my buddy Mike Perry from Pennsylvania. I haven’t had Mike on in a while and it’s always good to catch up with a fellow PA hunter. For those of you who don’t know Mike, he’s a killer. Whether it’s public or private Mike consistently finds and kills mature deer. One of my favorite things about Mike is his curiosity, and how his expectations are rooted in reality. Mike’s been killing deer since the 90’s. We talk about his style has evolved over the years from a rut hunter to now an approach this is more focused on following the changing components of the deer’s world in the fall to stay in the game vs. sitting a funnel. One thing that hasn’t changed is the notion that the only way to get good at killing mature bucks…is to kill deer in general.
