EP 338: An IED Bomb Led this Solidier to Islam, Reaction to PBD Podcast | HARRY ELLIFF

from The Mad Mamluks

Harry Elliff is Iraq war veteran who used to be deeply opposed and skeptical of Islam. After suffering a traumatic injury in combat, he was retired early. This experience lead him on a journey to of discovery. He had to find out what the real Islam actually is. Almost 4 years ago, he took his Shahada and entered Islam. Since that time, he realizes that he is encountering the same problems with Islam that he first experienced overseas. He realizes that the Islamic world is currently full of unhealthy tribalism. He does not want to reinvent the wheel but he does want to continue to learn about what the wheel actually is through dialogue, honest inquiry and personal experience. His channel is geared towards Americans and especially American conservatives who want to learn more about Islam and have dialogue. His channel also appeals to people who just want to be Muslim and move past the tribal distinctions within our faith. He currently lives as an expat in Indonesia with his lovely wife Amelia.
