She is married and has a son.After graduating from high school, Andrea traveled through Latin America and then studied social anthropology at the University of Münster. During the documentary film project "American Daydream" she met inspiring artists and taught herself how to edit short films. This led to her first job as an assistant director and editor in a Cologne film production company.After the birth of her son, Andrea Lötscher founded mondrosen.dokumentarfilme.
