Kirk was inducted into the Arkansas Outdoor Hall of Fame in 2006 for many contributions including: serving a 7 year term as AGFC commissioner and 1 year as Chairman of the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission, founding the Acres for America program which has put 2,000,000 acres of critical habitat under conservation, planning the successful passage of the conservation sales tax in Arkansas which has raised $800M+ for conservation since it's beginning, successfully implementing Catch and Release and Trophy Fishing areas on the White River, being involved in the passage of the Three-Point Rule in Arkansas Deer regulations & more.
