EP 343: Olympic Dreams, Deferred

from The Faroe Islands Podcast

This week, we check in with Jon Hestoy, he's one of the people with the unenviable job of trying to convince the International Olympic Committee to recognize the Faroe Islands. We'll talk about the history of the campaign for Faroese recognition, that the IOC has to say about the matter, and get an update on how Faroese athletes did at this year's Olympics... competing for Denmark. We spoke to Jon back in 2016 and went more in depth on certain of these topics. If you'd like to hear that conversation, you can listen to it here. Also, we get an update on COVID-19 in the Faroe Islands, and spend a hot afternoon by the water.
