(OVN)  Tony’s Story:  After graduating from High School in 1984, Tony enlisted in the United States Air Force as a mechanic and later crossed-trained to be analyst. His years of active duty included 12 tours (5 overseas and 7 state side), including a 9-month deployment to Operation Desert Shield/Storm where he earned the USAF Commendation Medal for achievements in direct support of the liberation of Kuwait. Since leaving the military Tony has worked in event and sports marketing, and non-profit leadership. In 2017 he and some past teammates created the organization Operation Vet NOW Inc. (OVN), a non-profit organization focused on improving the overall mental wellness of every veteran who served through outreach and honoring those who paid the ultimate sacrifice. Tony uses his experience and networks in all levels of sports as the platform for OVN’s three focus projects. He enjoys golfing, riding dirt bikes, and most of all spending time with his three grandchildren.  Tony left active duty after 22 years of service and since completed his BA from American Military University and MS from Endicott College, in addition he’s earned a Six Sigma Masters Certification and an Executive Certification in Non-Profit Management from Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business. He also serves on the Endicott College’s Sports Leadership Advisory Board.  Military Decorations 4 Meritorious Service Medals, 3 Air Force Commendation Medals, 1 Air Force Achievement Medal, 2 Air Force Outstanding Unit Medals 1 with Valor, Southwest Asia Service Metal, Global War on Terror Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Kuwait Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
