In this episode of “Chasing the Kingdom” I talk to Justin Ashurst, a pastor and counselor who is building his own counseling practice called  The Becoming Whole Center. We talk about the process of pursuing and finding one’s calling. We cover things like: Doing what you like for a living How a broken home can affect your journey How perspective is key to success The role of rest And other things About Justin Ashurst: I have been a Pastor and Counselor for the last seven years and in ministry for the last fourteen years. Prior to that, I spent 10 years as a Naval Officer aboard a submarine. I have the heart of a shepherd and love working with individuals and small groups. I have a particular heart for ministry leaders and pastors. But I enjoy working with anyone. I have worked with those struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, sexual integrity, sexual identity, abuse victims, church hurt, trauma, leadership wounds, and those who aren't quite sure what is going on. I’m certified in the Prepare and Enrich Premarital and Marital Assessment. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. I have a Masters in Biblical Studies (2018) and a Masters in Counseling (2016) from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. I also have a BAS in Physics (2004) from the University of Illinois. I obtained my license for mental health counseling (LMHC) in the state of Florida in 2021. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Elise since 2010 and we have four wonderful children.
