Ep. 35: Letting Go of Perfect

from A Free Spirit Life · host Shannon Kinney-Düh

In today's show we are talking about how to let go of the desire to be perfect and accept the imperfect moments in life. We usually get stuck in the ego mind that says there is a "right" and "wrong" way to do something, and those patterns keep us small, keep us from taking risks and trying new things, and run us ragged as we strive to live the "perfect" life. That's not what you're heart wants. That's not what living an authentic, free-spirited life is about. That's what we're talking about  Do you ever keep quiet to avoid conflict? Do you ever not put yourself "out there" because you worry about what others will think or say? Do you stay in a job you hate because you think it's what yours supposed to be doing? Do you work hard to have a clean house, healthy meals and perfect body to the point of pure exhaustion? Do you beat yourself up for what you aren't getting to? These are examples of how wanting life to be "just so" drains our emotional and spiritual energy. Let's practice letting go of perfect together.
