Ep#35: Travis Bower: The Longbow Ram
from Alberta Wildlife Stories Hosted by Aaron
I was stoked to have Travis Bower ( @tbower21 ) on the podcast to hear about his most recent success taking a Ram with his Longbow. I've been itching to have a traditional hunter on the pod since returning to recurve in recent months. In this episode, we cover a ton of Travis's personal preferences with traditional and what gear he favors. He shared stories from growing up hunting sheep with his father, his journey with stickbows, and how it all started. It was incredible to hear him talk about the 21-year wait to draw the coveted tag and the 18-year trad journey that brought him to the top of a mountain both physically and mentally to harvest this bighorn. I learned a ton talking with Travis and can't wait to have him back to pick his brain more on primitive hunting.
