Val goes Han Solo this week (who are we kidding, she’s never seen Star Wars) and welcomes you all into Pride Month. However, she’s here to remind you of why we are able to celebrate Pride as it is today. She goes over some of the history of the Stonewall Riots and talks about some of the main voices of the movement including Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera. This pride month, please celebrate and be proud, but remember that we would not be where we are today if black trans women did not fight like hell for us.
