Ep. 350 – Lolita (1962)

Episode 350: The Crew’s packing for Camp Climax while watching Stanley Kubrick’s Lolita. Kubrick manages to make a story of an adult sexually fantasizing about a 12 year old girl watchable by inserting some comedy. Yeah, Peter Sellers hams it up; but some of the edits are comedically timed, and the dialogue is innuendo filled. Everything is heavily implied… but that has more to do with the Hays Code than Kubrick’s desires.
