She is studying literacy disorders in middle/high school students and aspires to be a professor. Her SERVE initiative is “Love & Light: Giving Back, Moving Forward.” This initiative was sparked when one of Alayna’s friends, Trevor Luckey, passed away from childhood cancer seven years ago.Since then, Alayna has written a children’s book, helped pass legislation, presented to thousands of students, founded a dance convention, and holds a variety of leadership roles all in his honor.
