EP 36: The 3 co-hosts, April '16 Big Finish & Who news

from Doctor Who: The Alhambra Podcast

Episode 36 of the Doctor Who: Alhambra Podcast In this episode of the Alhambra Podcast, the dynamic duo of Brett (@Mavic_Chen) and Liam (@djNezumi) are joined with Legeon (@legeonhenderson) in hosting this episode of the Alhambra Podcast. We started off the podcast with Doctor Who and Big Finish news.  First, we react to the news of the 12th Doctor's new companion, Bill, played by actress Pearl Mackie.  Then the reaction to the loss of Blake's 7 lead actor, Gareth Thomas.  Next we look at some of the up and coming Big Finish news, Meddling Monk appearing in two Doctor Who: Short Trip stories.  And of course, off topic discussions do break out...naturally. Reviewing Big Finish releases, we begin with the Main Range release, #211, And You Will Obey Me, written by Alan Barnes, featuring Peter Davision and Geoffrey Beavers.  A Master discussion does breakout, future feedback would be appreciated (@alhambrapodcast #master).  Next, we move onto the Fourth Doctor Adventure, Legacy of Death, written by Jonathan Morris, part two of a 2 part story (part one was March release, The Paradox Planet).  From there we move on to my favorite non-Main Range, Novel Adaptions, Nightshade, written by Mark Gatiss, adapted by Kyle C Szikora. Then we move on to the Doctor Who Spin-Off ranges, beginning with Jago & Litefoot Series 11, featuring Geoffrey Beavers.  Next we finish off with Torchwood 2.3 Zone: 10, written by David Llewellyn, and featuring Naoko Mori as Toshiko Sato. Finally, we move into the non-Doctor Who universe, and discuss Blake's Liberator Chronicles Volume 12 and Terrahawks Series 2.    Please stay tuned for the Spearhead From Space audio review, which will come out in 2016.  Our next Audio Edition Review will be The Web Planet.  Please listen to the story, and send us a tweet or an email about your audio only experience.  Future Audio Edition Review will be The Daemons, and as always, our check back for our Big Finish monthly and New Doctor Who reviews.  Please email the show at: [email protected] Tweet the show: @AlhambraPodcast or @djNezumi or @Mavic_Chen Visit our website: <a href= "http://alhambrapodcast.weebly.com/">AlhambraPodcast.weebly.com
