Ep 37 Healing during crisis

from Handbook for Humanity · host Desormeaux Foundation

Is healing possible inside a crisis situation? Join Adele & Tom with team members from the DesOrmeaux Foundation’s Women’s Center of Lafayette as they discuss how Theology of the Body is starting to play a key role in assisting  Women and their families in crisis situations.  For 23 years the DesOrmeaux Foundation has been a place of refuge for women in need of life giving resources, life planning, shelter and a place for someone to just listen and offer comfort.  Recently the Foundation’s Founder, Brenda DesOrmeaux, decided to add Theology of the Body to its several programs designed to help Women dealing with life’s burdens and it’s starting to make a difference in ways she didn’t imagine.  Listen-in as we share how St. John Paul II’s life changing teachings are helping not only the Women’s Center’s clients with their lives and struggles but the employees are also benefiting in their personal and family lives.   Links referenced during show: https://desormeauxfoundation.org/theology-of-the-body/
