Ep. 37 - The Origin Story of KB Pure Essentials & The Life-Changing Benefits of CBD Oil - with Brooke Brun & Katie Moodie

from The Rebel Health Coach · host Thom Underwood

Brooke Brun and Katie Moodie are the Co-Founders of KB Pure Essentials, a lifestyle company offering an all-natural line of wellness and beauty products formulated with CBD. Their goal is to bring the life- and health-changing benefits of CBD to every individual through easy accessibility, while leading the way in community education.   I’ve tried a lot of CBD oil products, and I can tell you there’s a lot of junk out there – but KB Pure Essentials just works. That’s why I feature their products on my website, because I only want offer my clients the most effective and most natural options.   Katie and Brooke met through a Craigslist rental listing in 2009, and they have been best friends ever since. In 2013, wanting to spend more time together and create a business that suited their lifestyles, they decided to launch an all-natural wellness brand. At that time, they were actually not using CBD oil.   But Brooke has epilepsy, and she began to suffer from the side effects of her anti-seizure medication. She believed there had to be a better and more natural way to treat her condition.   They started researching CBD and found that it was being used to treat children with epilepsy. Unfortunately, none of the CBD products on the market at that time seemed to work, and most of them were being formulated from cannabis (as opposed to hemp), which still contained THC, the psychoactive chemical in marijuana.   “It’s hard to wrap my brain around, now, that you had to do something illegal in order to get a better quality of life, and that didn’t seem right. I thought there had to be a better way!” –Brooke Brun They decided to make the CBD oil themselves and incorporate it into their product line – not only did it help Brooke, it was an almost immediate success for their business. As a result, they rebranded to focus exclusively on wellness products using hemp-extracted CBD oil in 2015. Want to learn more about CBD oil?
