Susan Gobbo is from Brazil and is passionate about learning about different cultures and connecting people through her heart. Susan co-founded the St. Louis International Spouses/Expat Women Group (790 women from 90 countries) to help other talented and highly educated International women feel welcomed and accepted in their new homes. Afterward, she co-founded the St. Louis International Mentoring Program (480 women from 54 countries) with the mission to connect international women with local women and their families to help integrate them into the St. Louis area. Recently, Susan also co-founded the Immigrant Professional Women Network Group with the mission to educate and elevate immigrant professional women to integrate and thrive in the St. Louis region. She is also a contributing author to Betsy Cohen’s book: “Welcome to the USA – You’re Hired” (2021) and contributing author of the Anthology "Owning Your G.R.I.T. - Growth, Resilience, intention, and Tenacity" compiled by Jennifer Bardot & Carrie Burggraf (2021) Susan is part of boards and steering committees at different organizations bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion to the table, mainly with the international community. She received the St. Louis Mosaic Project Award (2018) for outstanding dedication to growing the St. Louis region, the Women of Achievement Multicultural Enrichment Award (2020), the Mary T. Hall Honeree Diversity Award (2022) from the United Nations Association - St. Louis Chapter, the Community Advocacy Award from the International Institute of St Louis (2023), among others. Susan and her family now call St. Louis their home. By loving The Lou, she wants everyone who moves to the city to have this same feeling. Through her connections with the International and local community, she has contributed a great deal to the St. Louis region's economic and cultural growth. In every way, her efforts have enriched life for everyone in St. Louis.
