Charlie Thorburn is a world-renowned dog trainer and founder of Mordor Gundogs. People from all over the world purchase his dogs or send theirs to get trained by him and his team - from Alaska to Australia and all across the U.K. In the first half of this episode we speak about Charlie’s background, the everyday reality of dog training, shooting, and he answers the all important question: Labrador or spaniel? In the second half we delve into dog training questions and advice: why you shouldn’t take your dog for a walk, why you shouldn’t train your dogs with treats, why you shouldn’t walk your dog on a harness, how to deal with cocker spaniels as pets, and so much more. Charlie was great fun to speak to, he’s self-deprecating and his anecdotes are hilarious, I had to edit myself laughing out of a lot of this episode because it was non-stop.
