EP 383: The Stress of Our Roles

from Showing Up To Life · host Art Burns

Who am I? Am I my thoughts? Am I the roles that I play? Am I the ego that I present to the world? Who am I? When we expand our awareness, we find that the root of much of the stress we experience arises from the confusion and conflict of our roles and our ego. We can see that operating from the place of our roles and ego prevents us from living with presence, acceptance, compassion, and curiosity. And we can see that our happiness doesn’t come from our roles or from our external experiences. Our happiness comes from our authentic self.
