Welcome to our first episode of 2024! In this episode, we discuss R.F. Kuang’s Babel. Currently, this is Sam’s favourite book, and deals with heavy content. Content warning for: racism, xenophobia, sexism, depictions of child abuse, and violence. As always, join us at the beginning for a general discussion of the book before we head into spoilers! After listening, tell us what you thought. What other languages do you speak? What’s a word in a language you know that doesn’t translate to english?
