Ep 4: Benefits of Quality Over Quantity Training

from Modern Body: Pilates & Movement for Life

How can we move our bodies more sustainably and more effectively for longer periods?I’m Aly DiRoma and today, I'm exploring what quality over quantity training means for us as we learn how our bodies remember – and then we train them to remember high-quality movement patterns.Using an exercise example featuring the plank position, I demonstrate that it's not how much you do something but rather how well. The good news for Pilates beginners and anyone interested in improving their body movement is that by simply appreciating the connection between our brain and our body, we can do less and achieve so much more. I also discuss the importance of rest in today's episode of the Modern Body Podcast. I do hope that you join me in discovering that the language of our body is feeling and sensation. When you truly tune in to what your body needs, beautiful things unfold. "I will say from personal experience… and I've heard from other members and clients that when they've prioritized the quality of their movements over the quantity, they've really started to receive the benefits of every single class or every single activity that they're doing in their life."  ~ Aly DiRomaIn This Episode:- What Does Quality Training Involve?- How do Quality and Quantity Training relate to each other? - An exercise example of Quality over Quantity (the plank position!)- The importance of high-quality repetitions- Doing less, but feeling better- How can Quality Training work for you? - Why Less is More- Understanding the importance of rest And so much more!Interested in becoming a Modern Body Studio member? Go to https://modernbody.uscreen.io/Connect with Aly DiRoma:👉 https://link.me/alydiroma
