Hey, howdy, hey, everyone! This past week, I have been feeling the burnout more than usual, so I decided to cover a rabbit hole that I could talk about on autopilot, basically. Today, we are going to dig into the cautionary internet tale of Darek Savage, and his prize project, his MAGNUM OPUS: the Cool Cat children's franchise. Specifically, we are going to talk about the first Cool Cat feature-length film, "Cool Cat Saves the Kids".  It's bad. Monumentally bad. Even worse? The reaction of the creator after he saw how many people completely shat on his movie. This is a story about a man who cannot take criticism, constructive or not, and who will try everything in his power to strongarm and silence those who disagree with him, or who think that the product he puts out is inferior. He is trollbait, plain and simple. Daddy Derek is a man who cannot handle the internet at large. Unfortunately, that's exactly who's radar he ended up on. I was at the forefront of this story, following every bit of it as it happened, so please, enjoy my inside look at the story of Daddy Derek, and the masterpiece of a stinker that is "Cool Cat Saves the Kids"!
