EP 4. PART 2: Mormonism with Amy
from Whole ‘Nother Story Hosted by Sophie Camilli
This is Part 2 of my episode with Amy Mason as we didn’t get to a very important topic within our last episode, so we decided it needed its own airtime. In this episode, we discuss the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A disclaimer for our audience, Amy is an ex-member, also known as an inactive member by the church. We refer to the church as Mormon in this episode because that is how Amy identifies with them, but as of 2018, Church leadership rejects the term Mormon as it was never an authorized title and described as a nickname. We discuss mormon representation in media, Amy’s experience growing up in the church and eventually leaving after doing her own research. All content in this episode was fact checked by multiple sources, but our commentary was also experiential and opinion based.
