Ep. 40: How To See Opportunity In Nigeria And South Africa As Diaspora - Collins Ofoegbu

from The AfriOne Show · host The Afropolitan Apostle

Don’t let those eating their harvest pressure you into eating your seed. Opportunities abound, but the challenge for many is their inability to tap into resources around them. Humility is key—never elevate yourself so high that you can’t pick up valuable lessons from the ground. Prayer and faith are essential for the diaspora to actualize anything of value, but growth requires a system. For married couples, one critical system is listening to your spouse—especially your wife. Leadership in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, has been compromised, often requiring individuals to act like slaves to remain within the system. This bias stifles true progress. The church many Africans practice today is far removed from the church originally introduced. Alarmingly, the lines between pastors and politicians have blurred, as both often share troubling similarities. Be discerning. The devil sometimes dresses up in churches. Marrying a woman from the church may not always guarantee character, as appearances can be deceiving. Pay close attention to what a lady says when dating—it reveals more than you think. Fatherhood is another critical area where action is needed. Not every father is actively practicing fatherhood, and many fail to grasp the weight of their role. Being present and proactive is non-negotiable for raising the next generation. These are just a few pearls of wisdom shared by Mr. Collins Ofoegbu.
