She holds an MSc in Digital Sociology with 17 years of experience working at the intersection of design research, social theory, and technology.  Lisa is the Chair of the AI Council at the British Interactive Media Association -BIMA and a Conversation Design Institute Foundation board member. Our conversation was informative and insightful from start to finish!Some key highlights from our discussion:We must be problem-centric to find the right solutions for stakeholders and our data still needs to be protectedConsider if we have any problems at work that would benefit from AI techMinimize environmental impact globally as a lot of energy and fossil fuel is used to power data centres The impact of technology shouldn't be detrimental to human life and natureHumans still have a huge role to play as evidence indicates various AI tools can generate misinformationThere is a scale use of robotics in factories and warehouses to maximize efficiency, production, and economies of scale but fresh AI or knowledge-generating threats are evident in the creative industriesJob losses are evident in the creative spaces, especially for small 'gigs'Lisa is originally from South Africa and finds to relax and immerse herself in creative writing, exercising, and much more.
