Ep 41: Atlas Shrugged, Bitcoin & Objectivism with Tomer Strolight

from Svetski Wake Up Podcast · host Aleks Svetski

Tomer Strolight, host of the "For the Love of Bitcoin" Podcast, and writer of the brilliant "Why Bitcoin" series on Medium joins me on the latest Wake Up Podcast, In this episode we take a look at Bitcoin through the lens of one of the most powerful philosophers to have ever lived; Ayn Rand. Her philosophy or framework of thinking is known as "Objectivism" and is in many ways the basis for much of the Libertarian thought and Bitcoiner thought many of us align with today. Her seminal works, Fountain Head and Atlas shrugged (especially) have been inspirations for some of the greatest leaders this century, including the likes of Steve Jobs, Nick Szabo and the Cypherpunks. The Galt's gulch she discussed is the basis of the "Bitcoiner Citadels" idea, and the heroes of virtue and principle in her book are the archetypes which Bitcoiners naturally embody and whose values we adopt. This is a fantastic chat, and I urge you to pick up and digest as much of Ayn Rand's work as you can. It will profoundly impact your life, perhaps more than any other work ever written. We specialize in unpacking the nuances of what is considered sacred and profane, particularly focusing on sex, death, and all that pertains to the circle of life. Our aim in focusing on such ”taboo” subject matter is to demystify what is unconscious, bring to light what has been known for centuries as ”the occult,” and empower the rapid transformation that is occurring on the Planet.
