Ep. 41 - Austin Carr - NFL Wide-Receiver for the New Orleans Saints

from Dad Up Podcast · host Bryan Ward

Austin Carr is an NFL Wide-Receiver for the New Orleans Saints. He joined the Saints off waivers from New England at the start of the 2017 regular season, appearing in one regular season and one playoff contest in his rookie campaign. As a wide-receiver, he originally signed as an undrafted rookie out of Northwestern with New England, has played in 21 games with five starts, recording ten receptions for 106 yards and two touchdowns. As fulfilling as his NFL career has been, nothing has been more fulfilling than the recent birth of his first child with his wife, Erica. However, in our conversation, he shares their excitement of their son’s birth soon turned into fear when Erica tested positive for Covid-19 on the day she was to deliver their baby boy. By the grace of God, their baby boy tested negative and today the Carr’s are completely healthy and Austin is enjoying his new role as a dad. In our conversation, Austin shares how much his parents positively impacted his life and taught him what it takes to be a successful father. Such an inspiring conversation and I hope you enjoy our conversation about fatherhood. Dad Up!
