Today, we are going to draw a distinction between getting and receiving feedback. It happens all the time across the leadership world, but contact is almost never happening. Many leaders believe they are receiving feedback because they listen, ask clarifying questions, thank people, and take action. But those moves can become part of a protective identity that keeps the real issue at a distance.
