We spend some time citing numbers, effects, and histories of minimum wages across the world, but only to provide context to the central conversation of dialectics versus ideology. The vital question this episode: if we want to achieve the "correct" answer to questions of social welfare, such as minimum wage, what philosophies should we use to even create the questions we're answering? How much importance should we place on numbers such as GDP, unemployment, and other matters of profit and productivity? Sometimes, economists should just shut up.
