#Ep. 43: Adrian Cocan, Lăptăria cu Caimac: Wine and cheesse are defined by terroir

from Wines of Romania Podcast · host Marinela Ardelean

Adrian Cocan is co-founder of Lăptăria cu Caimac (Creamy Dairy), an artisanal Romanian dairy specializing in top-of-the-line products and one of the first to join Carrefour's “Poftim, brânză românească!” (Here / We Crave Romanian Cheese) national program. 🧀🍷 Interview highlights: - What to look for when trying to choose a fine cheese from the shelves; - Romania had a lot of diversity in cheeses, but it was lost, we need to revive old recipes; - Romanian wines are just as good as French wines, but lack a history track and exposure; - Just like in the case of wine, understanding and using local terroir is critical in the process of making a fine cheese; 🎙️ The Wines of Romania podcast is inspired by the Deschidem Vinul Românesc / We Open the Romanian Wine program, a national program developed by Carrefour Romania, dedicated equally to consumers and wine producers in Romania.
