Ep. 436 - Timmy Howard - Triathlete after a Life of Drugs and Homelessness

from Take it from the Ironwoman · host Timmy Howard, Susanne Mueller

Timmy Howard, and I'm a hot dog loving, endurance athlete, who's life was anything but normal. My life has been a journey of heartbreak, resilience, and redemption. After battling homelessness and drug addiction for 12 years, I finally hit rock bottom and made the decision to change my life and achieve sobriety. I've now been clean for six years. This transformative period has not only been about overcoming personal demons but also about building a community that I surround myself with. Sobriety opened my eyes to all of life's wonders and the people that fill it along the way. I've used endurance sports to challenge myself physically and mentally and now I am able to give back to those who may be starting their own journey. My purpose in life is to empower my community through fitness, share my journey, and use my knowledge to inspire others to lead healthier, more active lives.Instagram: timmy_hotdog_howardFacebook: Timmy Howard ***********Finalist "Women in Cloud - Podcast of the YEAR" - #empowHERaccess Global Prestige Awards 2026Susanne Mueller / www.susannemueller.biz TEDX Talk, May 2022: Running and Life: 5KM Formula for YOUR Successhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oT_5Er1cLvY Join Substack: https://substack.com/@susannemuellernyc?Enjoy one coaching session for free if you are a yearly subscriber. 800+ weekly blogs / 500+ podcasts / 1 Ironman Triathlon / 5 half ironman races / 26 marathon races / 4 books / 1 Mt.
