Ep 44 A Salute to Community Photographer, Eugene Tagawa

from Chino Y Chicano · host Enrique Cerna-Matt Chan

Send us Fan MailEugene Tagawa is a good friend of the Chino Y Chicano. Our friendship began in the late 70s when all of us worked at KING 5 television. Eugene worked there for more than 30 years as a graphic artist. Eugene's hobby is photography. Over the years, he has photographed countless Asian community activities free of charge. He has captured the images of iconic events in the Chinatown-International District, but has not received credit for documenting the community history. On this episode, the Chino Y Chicano set the record straight and give Eugene Tagawa a much deserved shout out. Check out Eugene’s photos of protest and the Minidoka Pilgrimage.
