EP 44: “Be Yourself” featuring spelling bee and sports extraordinaire Veer Rege

Veer Rege is 12 years old was born in Baltimore Maryland at John’s Hopkins Bayview hospital. He is in the 6th grade and loves soccer and baseball. Math is his favorite subject and he had played the trumpet since the 4th grade. He has an interest in acting and has been in a summer production of “on this island”. He has performed in many Diwali dances and skits for his Indian youth group. He enjoys playing video games with his 2 friends from Maryland and Massachusetts. Veer has BREC Syndrome otherwise known as childhood focal epilepsy. He has participated in the youth Spartan race and came in 5th out of 32 runners! Veer went to the regional spelling bee for Christian schools last year and came in 8th out of 48 and was the only 5th grader in the top 10 finalists. He won the student of the month award for his new school for the month of November and has maintained a 4.0 gpa since the 3rd grade.
