Ep 44. Nature‘s Inspiration in The Book of Hope

from Garden Dilemmas, Delights & Discoveries · host Mary Stone

Welcome to our chat from the screen porch about garden and nature stories that help heal and grow our lives. In this episode, we chat about The Book of Hope by Jane Goodall and Douglas Abrams. Essentially the inspirational book is a dialog with Jane Goodall about her reasons for hope despite the world's increasing troubles. The subtitle— A Survival Guide for Trying Times, but merely surviving seems sad. I like to think of it as A Guide to Growing Hope instead. Most known for her study of chimpanzees and her mission to protect them by protecting their habitats, Goodall's words will assure you that we still have time to save the natural world and improve the environment. She explains that each of us can make a difference by taking action. And by doing so, you'll inspire others to do the same.Link to the related column - Growing Hope-The Book of HopeLink to Jane Goodall Institute https://janegoodall.org/and Roots and Shoots https://www.rootsandshoots.org/ I look forward to sharing more stories that come from you, kind listeners.
