Ep 44: Purify the Heart
from The Call of the Heart | Bible Teachings for Spiritual Awakening Hosted by Xander Sage Podcast
If something in you feels drawn to this reflection, that may already be the call.In this episode of The Christ Code, we sit with a teaching from Jesus that turns attention away from external behavior and back toward the heart. Drawing from Matthew 15:16–20, this reflection explores what Jesus meant when he said that what truly defiles a person comes not from the outside, but from within.Rather than framing harm and misalignment as moral failure, Jesus points to unprocessed pain in the heart—places shaped by fear, shame, grief, and unmet needs. From this lens, even destructive behavior is understood not as evidence of evil at the core, but as a signal that something within the heart has not yet been seen, felt, or healed. This episode is an invitation to bring compassion—to others and to yourself—and to recognize that lasting change doesn’t come from force or self-correction, but from listening more deeply. Through meditation on the heart, safety is restored, buried emotions can surface, and the natural qualities of love, peace, and joy begin to flow again. If this episode resonates, you’re welcome to follow the podcast, share it with someone who may be hearing a similar call, or simply sit with what’s alive.I’m Xander Sage.
