Shannon describes how being a mother has given her the flexibility of maintaining her dreams while caring and educating her children. Shannon Missimer is the co-founder and CGO (Chief Gratitude Officer) of the Motion of Gratitude, focused on helping others feel the profound impact of internal gratitude and being present in their life. Beginning with her own personal need for a lifestyle shift, Shannon felt drawn to helping others find their internal gratitude. After graduating from Penn State University with a B.S. in Economics, Shannon was ready to begin her professional career and thought she would find fulfillment in making money in the business world. After the birth of her first child, her definition of success changed drastically, becoming more purpose driven and less societal driven. Now, Shannon, along with her husband Matt, have run the Motion of Gratitude and developed various offerings including an app, journal, and leadership programs to support individuals, educators, and businesses on their gratitude journey. Along with these resources, Shannon sits down with individuals to talk about their journey with gratitude on the Motion of Gratitude Podcast!
