EP 44 STORYTELLER: “The Journey of Self” with storytelling visual artist Joshua Abebrese.

Joshua believes that everybody and anything has a story but not always a voice. Through his own ongoing Journey of Self was he able to see his own story and rediscover his voice that led to the creation of ‘CONNECTED’, as a way to aid others in seeing and telling their unique story, in order to find their own voice.  Parts of ‘CONNECTED’ called ’CONNECTED’ “The Mandem Story” was shown in the Fotografiemuseum Amsterdam (Foam) as part of the group exhibition called Disconnect early 2022 and subsequently served as the bedrock of the concept for MAKERS VAN NOORD.  MAKERS VAN NOORD is part of a research program (Centrinno) by The European Union (EU) spread over 9 European pilot cities in order to research the posibilities of how can we turn industrial, historical heritage sites and areas into creative, cultural production centres called Fab City Hubs, that: 1. work with the ecological challenges of our time 2. stimulate a diverse, inclusive, innovative economy for the city 3. and use heritage as a catalyst for innovation and social inclusion?
