I had the honor of having two amazing and inspiring women on the podcast. They are two best friends who decided to start a podcast. 24 Carat Conversations is a podcast all about real women, real friendships, and real issues. Rhonda Velez and Phylis Mantelli are two women who come from very different backgrounds (one being a Pastor’s kid, one who didn’t come to Christ until her mid-thirties.) They have brought their friendship to the forefront to be a voice for women who want to hear the truth about the struggles of womenhood but need the support of other women. This episode is all about what has inspired them to empower other women, and how using our stories can actually help others. We talk about why it's important to no longer hide behind the shame of what has happened to us, and how to release the lies that you're holding onto. Phylis shares her story of what it was like to grow up in dysfunction, and the pain that came with her upbringing. She shares how God spoke to her about starting over after the tragic loss of her son. It gave her the courage to choose to start over. Now Phylis empowers women who have experienced a dysfunctional past. Rhonda shares how her upbringing growing up in church made her think that because she did all the right things her life should look a certain way. The loss of her daughter led her to find her faith on her own. Rhonda began sharing her story after having experienced depression. Now she is empowering other women to walk through their story and to release it. Rhonda and Phylis are going to inspire you with their stories.
