EP. 45- Humble Beginnings FT. Haywood Highsmith (Of the Miami Heat)

from FOR THE MASSES PODCAST · host Jonathan Barrett

This week on the show we have a real inspiring story of a young man from Baltimore, Md who found his way to the National Basketball Association (NBA) through an unconventional route. Haywood Highsmith keeps his faith first, stays humble, and applies a sickening work ethic. Haywood attended Wheeling Jesuit University and graduated as the NCAA Division II player of the year in 2018. He went undrafted that year however, he played in the G League from 2018-2022. During that time he played a year in Germany with the Crailsheim Merlin’s and multiple 10 day contracts mostky with the Miami Heat and the Philadelphia 76ers. I’m grateful He took the time out to jump on the show. God is always good! In this episode, we discussed things such as: - His backstory! - When did he start playing basketball? - How he made it to the league! Please take a listen and replay it too!
