The film is set up into two unique portions, blending documentary investigation and narrative drama to unveil the potential threats posed behind most popular social media and search platforms. With the film being broken up into two portrayals, each cinematographer had a very distinct and individual role to play while shooting the hybrid film. The documentary portion of the film was shot by John Behrens, while the narrative portion of the film was shot by Jonathan Pope. The Social Dilemma is now available to stream on Netflix.
