Today I'm joined by a good friend and excellent elk hunter Dirk Durham from the Elk Collective and Phelps Game Calls. In this podcast Dirk shares is journey last year to turn a ruined season into a success. After receiving a major shoulder injury just days into season, Dirk thought it was all but over for the year. After switching to a mouth tab release and teaching himself to shoot it, Dirk pushed through and was able to kill a bull which is amazing. We dive into that story and more in this episode. We also cover how you can get a tag if you were not able to get lucky and get a limited entry tag somewhere. We cover how Dirk would go about choosing an area within those general season tags that offer multiple units.
