Title: Mulholland Drive [Wikipedia] [IMDb] Director: David Lynch Producers: Mary Sweeney, Alain Sarde, Neal Edelstein, Michael Polaire, Tony Krantz Writer: David Lynch Stars: Justin Theroux, Naomi Watts, Laura Elena Harring, Ann Miller, Robert Forster Release date: October 12, 2001 (US) PROMO: Too Many Captains (@ItsaFilmPodcast) SPECIAL GUESTS: Lydia Malcom, Naomi McQuade, Jen McQuade; Shocked & Applaud (@ShockedApplaud) SHOWNOTES: We are throwing ourselves once again into the surrealist world of David Lynch with his 2001 neo-noir mystery film Mulholland Drive! With special guests from the Shocked & Applaud podcast, we explore the movie's non-sequitur narrative, ambiguous themes, and many interpretations of the true plot—which Mr. Lynch himself had never divulged! Mulholland Dr. is certainly one of the filmmaker's most memorable works, and Collateral Cinema (along with Shocked & Applaud) is digging into why.
