EP#47 - The History of Celebrity Culture, Meth-Addicted Squirrels, and Beer that Turns Men into Women
from Twenty Somethings · host Sound Pollination
Apologies for the delayed upload this week for the FOURTY-SEVENTH episode of Twenty Somethings (how have you managed to listen to our nasaled voices for that long I will never understand), as Grant was stuck in his favorite state, New Jersey, and couldn't get home to record. We struck a pot of gold this morning though, with special guest Sean McDonough, a recently-graduated and up-and-coming actor in New York. We spent a lot of time talking about the history of celebrity culture, dating all the way back to Greek times and how it has influenced the gravitas of today. Then we took a deep dive into some refreshingly relatable headlines - like the dude who needed an attack squirrel, so he fed a wild one meth and caged it in his yard to thwart any highwaymen. Totally justifiable. We also talked about the intelligent and well-thought-out instagram celebs who took to Chernobyl for some risky 9 AM gram-spams. Totally not a bad idea! The unpopular opinions were... unpopular. Check em out for yourself.
