In fact, it is in our weakness that He shows himself strong. Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:27 states, "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of this world to shame the strong." Chris makes the connection to one of Peter's first public speaking appearance in Acts 4:8-13. "When they saw the courage of Peter and John and realized that they were unschooled ordinary men, they were astonished and they took note that these men had been with Jesus." It was the fact they had been with Jesus that made the difference. When we are with Jesus, people around us notice.
